The top corners of every room are pretty much reserved for the periphery; they rarely get direct eye contact. Yet the distance between the floor and the top corners of a space often determines its inherent intimacy and atmosphere. In scary movies, they are where spirits lurk -- in real life, they are where surveillance objects are often placed.
