Website management
From April 2020 to January 2021, I worked at the Pittsburgh-based non-profit the Thomas Merton Center as a Graphic/Web Design Assistant. In that time, I assisted in updating aspects of the Thomas Merton Center website (including an anti-racist resource page), assembling the weekly e-blast, creating graphics for various initiatives, and importantly, planning and executing the 2020 Rai$e the Roof Thrifty fundraiser.
Rai$e the Roof Thrifty Fundraiser
In summer 2020, the roof of the beloved East End Community Thrift (Thrifty) sprang a leak. Being a community-funded thrift store, the TMC jumped into action building a fundraising campaign. I was given the opportunity to lead and execute the social media side of that campaign. More information on my strategy can be found here.
Fresh Merch Graphics
In fall of 2020, the Thomas Merton Center rebranded and began offering merchandise; I had the opportunity to design a number of promotional graphics for them. Incorporating the colors of the logo and using a lithographic effect, I created 5 different graphics that were posted to social media platforms.

Digital Graphics
At its existence in 2020, the TMC was a platform to support various activist initiatives in the City of Pittsburgh, through services like graphic design, grantwriting assistance, and more.
Being a graphic designer, I was given the opportunity to design graphics for initiatives from the center’s Board of Directors to the Coalition to End the Deadly Exchange.
